ANNIE PARKER

Annie Parker came to sculpture later in life. Born in France to Italian parents, she moved to London in her twenties and began her career at the BBC, later working in film editing. After a break to raise her daughters, she pursued her lifelong passion for art.

“The human face is an endless source of inspiration... I have an ongoing compulsion to recreate it in my stonework.”

She studied at the City & Guilds of London Art School and Heatherley School of Fine Art, earning diplomas in portrait painting and figurative sculpture. Sculpture became her focus, but her background in portraiture continues to shape her work—particularly in her expressive series of stone heads.
